Reflections of Beauty

It is said that the eye is the window of the soul, yet, fish are said to have no soul. Its window is a reflection of expressionless darkness encased in beauty for what purpose?

That we humans may marvel in the beauty of the creature?

The fish is not concerned with beauty, its very existence is dependent on more noble pursuits, that of sustenance and procreation. Why then is its window encased in such beauty?

Art of man must be conceived and created yet that of the fish is worn without thought or the least of effort.

Yes, the fish may have no soul, yet, is not its expressionless window a reflection so that our soul is enriched by its beauty.
